supportFileBound Viewer Update Download

Download Viewer Here (version 5.04.234)

Note: You must UNINSTALL YOUR CURRENT FB VIEWER before proceeding.

FileBound Document Viewer Update Needed

The FileBound Image Viewer utilizes Security Certificates issued by Microsoft to aid in the secure transport of data between FileBound and your desktop PC without any end-user interaction. The current certificates that are utilized in FileBound expire on May 5, 2010. These certificates have been renewed and are incorporated into a new version of the FileBound Viewer.

What Does This Mean For Me And My FileBound Users?

On May 5, 2010, all FileBound users will start to see a "Certificate Invalid" error. (Note: User's will still be able to click continue and proceed with viewing documents in a secure manner.) They will be prompted with this error message every time they go to the Viewer.

To prevent this message from appearing, you and your users will need to update to Version 5.04.234 on all FileBound accessible PCs. The update can be done at any time, including before or after the May 5th expiration date. This can be accomplished by manually installing the new viewer on the end-user machine using the .msi installer that is available from the link above.

Note: This download is provided in a zip (compressed) file. You must unzip this file, then open the folder, then double-click on the FBViewerCtrl file to launch the update. Allow for and follow through all the steps of the installation wizard to complete the update.

If your company does not allow you to download files from the internet (i.e., you do not have administrative rights to your PC), please forward this email to your IT or helpdesk representative for their action.
